How else you can help?
BHSAS collects new or used collars and leashes. These are distributed to needy pet owners who otherwise may use ropes, chains, laundry cord and/or other uncomfortable and even painful methods to restrain their animals. This project is done in an effort to educate the people of Belize in safer and more humane pet care.
This woman was trading in the laundry cord, which is commonly used in Belize as a method of restraint, for a brand new collar and leash made possible by the Collars for Canines Program.
